BBC Sport to broadcast four finals as full National Championships livestream schedule is confirmed
BBC Sport will provide exclusive live coverage of four finals from the 2026 Bowls Scotland National Championships, sponsored by Gallagher Insurance, as Bowls Scotland confirms that all eight days of this year’s event will be available to watch live.
The Mixed Pairs Final on Monday 10 August, Para Pairs Final on Tuesday 11 August and the Ladies and Gents Singles Finals on Saturday 15 August will be broadcast exclusively by BBC Sport.
The return of BBC Sport represents a significant success for Scottish bowls at a time when securing free-to-air coverage is becoming increasingly challenging across major sporting events and national championships. The four BBC broadcasts will also be available to view outside the UK, giving bowls fans around the world the opportunity to watch some of Scotland’s leading players compete for national titles.
A further 19 matches will be streamed live through Bowls Scotland’s YouTube channel and Facebook page, ensuring supporters can watch action from every day of the Championships at Northfield in Ayr from Saturday 8 to Saturday 15 August.
Play Vision will return to deliver the coverage following its involvement in the 2025 Championships. The company will produce all 23 broadcasts, including the four BBC Sport finals, with one match shown from Green A, Rink 1 during each selected session.
