Try Bowls 2021

In 2020, Bowls Scotland carried out two COVID Club Surveys to help understand the impact of COVID on clubs but also to identify potential areas of additional support and resource required by clubs.

Two of the top priorities that came from the survey were:

Getting members back on the green

And

Engaging with new members from the local community

To help our clubs in these two areas, Bowls Scotland have created some extra resources for the 2021 season for our clubs who sign up for the Try Bowls membership growth program. This year when clubs sign up to Try Bowls you will not only receive support from your National Development Officer, but clubs will also receive:

  • Promotional poster templates to add your club logo and event details to
  • Access to video tutorials explaining how to adjust your event according to Covid restrictions
  • Social media hints and tips

Try Bowls is an excellent opportunity for your club to reconnect with the community in a friendly outdoors environment as well as increase the club’s membership after what has been a tough time for all of us. Whether you want to hold friends and family events or open days for the wider community, sign up to gain access to extra tools and information to help you club.
