World Bowls Challenge
Good luck to our very own Alex Marshall MBE and Darren Burnett as they’re set to take part in the inaugural World Bowls Challenge at Moama Bowling Club, Australia.
This new event will see a hand picked ‘Rest of the World’ team take on the Australian Jackaroos in a series of matches across Friday 29th and Saturday 30th November. Both teams are made up of five men and five women in Bowls’ version of Golf’s Ryder Cup.
There are numerous World Champions and Commonwealth Games medallists on both sides as the world is set to be spoiled by the quality of bowls on display at Moama over the next two days by the best players from around the globe.
Action will begin with mixed triples, followed by men’s pairs, women’s pairs, then mixed pairs, and conclude with ten singles matches (five men’s and five women’s) staged across staggered starts.
The games will be live streamed on Bowls Australia’s Facebook page from 6am-11am GMT (Friday 29th November) and 1.30am-6.30am GMT (Saturday 30th November)
