Bowls Scotland staff fundraising for Erskine Veterans Charity at this year’s Kiltwalk

Four members of Bowls Scotland staff will lace up their walking shoes next month as they take on the Kiltwalk Big Stroll to raise funds for our official charity partner, Erskine Veterans Charity.

Andrew Breen (Membership & Administration Officer), Ash Cousins (Marketing Officer), Brogan Sinclair (Business Operations Manager), and Malcolm Dingwall-Smith (CEO), will complete the 14.5-mile route from Clydebank to Balloch on the 26th of April as part of this year’s Glasgow Kiltwalk.

The team are raising money for Erskine Veterans Charity, one of Scotland’s best-known veterans charities, which has been supporting veterans in Scotland since 1916. Erskine Veterans Charity provides a wide range of care and support services, including two specialist care homes, two activity centres, a regional home support service, and a Veterans Village made up of 44 cottages, five assisted living apartments and 23 transitional supported apartments.

That support makes a real difference to veterans across the country. Erskine’s activity centres, for example, help veterans build connections, access support, learn new skills and improve their wellbeing, while its home support service helps former servicemen and women maintain independence and stay connected to their communities.

By taking on the Kiltwalk, the Bowls Scotland team are aiming to raise £1,000 for Erskine Veterans Charity, with every donation helping the charity continue its vital work supporting veterans and their families across Scotland.

Any support would be hugely appreciated as the team prepare for the challenge. Donations can be made via Bowls Scotland’s JustGiving page, with every contribution helping Erskine continue its vital work.
