2024 Hong Kong Classic - Day Three Round Up

Scotland made a positive start in the Men’s and Women’s Pairs at the 2024 Hong Kong Classic, recording three wins from today’s four encounters.

Darren Gualtieri and Iain McLean notched up two victories to kick off their Men’s Pairs campaign. The Scots got the better of Hong Kong A 4-2 in their opening fixture and then impressively went on to defeat Ireland’s Aaron Tennant and Adam Rankin 6-0. Tomorrow’s matches see Darren and Iain take on KCC, HKFC and Hong Kong U23.

Dee Hoggan and Rachel Sinclair had mixed fortunes in their opening two games in the Women’s Pairs as they suffered a 0-6 loss to SBSC in their first match of the day. However, the Scottish duo bounced back well to chalk up a 4-2 win over YDT. Dee and Rachel come up against Malaysia, Macao and Canada tomorrow as they look to get back in contention in Group B.
