Players announced for 2025 U18 International Assessment Day
Following on from the conclusion of this year’s Podium Open events, Bowls Scotland is pleased to announce the youth players that have progressed through to our U18 International Assessment Day on Saturday 21st June at the National Centre for Bowling, Ayr.
A total of 32 players will now take part in the International Assessment Day, aiming to achieve selection for Scotland’s U18 International Team. The U18 International Series will be held on home soil at the National Centre for Bowling, Ayr on Sunday 20th and Monday 21st July.
With the U25 International Series not taking place until later in the season, their International Assessment Day will not take place until Saturday 16th August.
Speaking ahead of the U18 International Assessment Day, Bowls Scotland’s Head of High Performance Bowls, Kareena Cuthbert, said: “It has been very exciting to see a number of talented young bowlers come through the Podium Open events, showing the skills, drive and determination to excel in a highly competitive environment.
“I would like to congratulate all those who have progressed to this stage of the U18 selection process. The youth game in Scotland is definitely in a strong position for years to come.”
