Gemma Whitehouse appointed Events Manager
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Gemma Whitehouse as Bowls Scotland’s new Events Manager.
Gemma’s journey into events management stems from her extensive experience in large-scale events, hospitality and catering, where she honed her skills in planning and co-ordinating a variety of functions. From private events to large-scale occasions, Gemma has developed a deep understanding of creating well-organised and engaging experiences.
Most recently, Gemma worked as Operations and Data Support within Associated British Ports. A role that provided her invaluable experience in collaborating with government grants and local authorities, focusing on project management, organisational, and analytical skills.
In her role as Events Manager, Gemma will be tasked with building and developing on the current events delivery of Bowls Scotland. With the aim to grow the engagement with our members and generate interest and excitement, bringing new people into bowls.
Looking forward to starting her new post, Gemma said: “I am thrilled to be joining Bowls Scotland as Events Manager and I’m eager to get started.
“This role represents an exciting opportunity to bring my passion for event planning to the world of sports and contribute to the continued growth of bowls in Scotland.
“I look forward to working with the team, connecting with clubs, and enhancing the overall experience for players and spectators alike. Together, I hope we can create events that inspire more people to discover and love this incredible sport.”
