Players announced for 2025 International Assessment Weekend

Following on from the conclusion of this year’s Podium Open events, Bowls Scotland is pleased to announce the players that have progressed through to our International Assessment Weekend on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June at the National Centre for Bowling, Ayr.

A total of 113 players and directors will now take part in this weekend’s respective Men’s, Women’s and Para International Assessment Weekend. With the U18 and U25 International Series not taking place until later in the year, their International Assessment Days will not take place until Saturday 21st June and Saturday 16th August respectively.

Speaking ahead of the International Assessment Weekend, Bowls Scotland’s Head of High Performance Bowls, Kareena Cuthbert, said: “In our second year of delivering the Podium Open events we have seen a rise in player engagement with over 400 bowlers participating over the three weeks.

“There was some exceptional bowling on display, and I would like to congratulate all those who have progressed to the next stage in the selection process. I would also like to extend a massive thank you to all the host clubs, competition leads, assessors and umpires who have ensured that the Podium events ran smoothly and achieved the aims of providing a highly competitive environment for our players to show what they can do.”
