Wednesday winners

Day three of the National Championships saw the first trophies and medals presented.

Ian Garioch of Lochlands BC beat Brian Higgins of Maitland BC 21-12 in the gents' over-55 singles.

In the ladies' over-55 singles, Margaret Letham of Burnbank BC beat Celia Smith of Buckhaven BC 21-12.

Airdrie Central (Alan Patterson, Gordon Armstrong, Billy Cochrane, Jim Prunty) took the gents' over-55 fours title, beating Polmuir (Russel Orchard, Jim Burnett, Eddie Bain, Jim Cameron) 23-5.

In the ladies' over-55 fours, Balerno (Anne Blake, Mabel Jackson, Margaret Turner, Helen Girdler) beat Maxwelltown (Maureen Jackson, Alison Fair, Isobel Moffat, Angie Donaldson) 21-9.

Carla Banks and Colin Banks of Inverurie BC beat Janice Grant and Allan Barrie of Kirkintilloch BC 21-13 in the mixed pairs.
