Coach Education Vlog
As part of Bowls Scotland's commitment to support the development of our clubs and volunteers, our Coach Education courses are arranged with flexibility and accessibility in mind.
Our Coach & Volunteer Manager, Adam Martin, and National Development Officer (North), Alan McDonald, recently visited Lerwick Bowling Club in Shetland, Dornoch Bowling Club in the Highlands and Stornoway Bowling Club in the Western Isles to deliver three separate courses to 32 coaches.
All courses were delivered through the clubs and volunteers utilising our Coach Education Subsidy Fund which is critical in ensuring accessibility for all. The subsidy fund identifies five target areas to increase the number of qualified coaches that are female, aged 16-25, have a disability and are from rural or socially deprived areas.
