Help Shape the Future of Bowls in Scotland

Bowls Scotland is refreshing its strategy for 2027 - 2031 and we want to hear from the people who know bowls best.

As we look ahead, it is important that our priorities are shaped by the experiences, challenges and ambitions of those involved in bowls across Scotland. Whether you are a player, volunteer, coach, official, club member or supporter, your views can help influence the future direction of the sport.

The Board and management team are committed to building a strategy that reflects the needs of the bowls community and helps us continue to strengthen clubs, support participants, attract new people into the sport and create opportunities for future generations.

Have Your Say

Our consultation survey is now open and provides an opportunity for individuals and clubs to share their thoughts on the future of bowls in Scotland.

The survey covers:

  • Section 1: About You
  • Section 2: Bowls in Your Area
  • Section 3: The Work of Bowls Scotland
  • Section 4: The Next Strategy
  • Section 5: Your Thoughts

We are keen to understand:

  • What is working well across the sport
  • The opportunities and challenges facing clubs and participants
  • How Bowls Scotland can best support the bowls community
  • What priorities should shape our future plans

Every response will help inform the development of our strategy and ensure it is built around the needs of the people at the heart of the sport.

The consultation closes on Sunday 13 September 2026.

We encourage everyone involved in bowls to take a few minutes to have their say and help shape the future of our sport.

Thank you for contributing to this important piece of work and for supporting bowls in Scotland.

Please note that, as part of the ongoing Bowls Scotland Competitions Review, a separate and more detailed consultation on competitions will be launched later in the season to gather views from individuals and clubs.
