Megan Sproat and Rachel Pirie win 2025/26 Linda Brennan Ladies U25 Pairs

Congratulations to Megan Sproat and Rachel Pirie on winning the 2025/26 Linda Brennan Ladies U25 Pairs.

The duo from Ladeside of Kilbirnie Bowling Club and Broughty Bowling Club overcame the sister pairing of Amy Blyth and Emma Blyth 13-4 in today’s final.

It was Amy and Emma that got the better of the opening exchanges as they held a slender 3-2 lead after five ends. However, Megan and Rachel produced an excellent spell in the match to score 11 shots over the next four ends to clinch the title.

Commiserations to Amy and Emma, who finished top of Group B to qualify for the knockout stages and came extremely close to winning the event for a second time.

Megan and Rachel will now represent Scotland at the 2026 British Bowls Championships at the National Centre for Bowling, Ayr. Best wishes to both players when the event comes round.

Thank you to Bowls Scotland CEO, Malcolm Dingwall-Smith, and U18 Pathway Lead, Julie Forrest, for carrying out the presentation of prizes and the hardworking team of umpires who helped to deliver the event. Our thanks also go to all 18 pairs for participating in a memorable competition in memory of an incredible woman.
