Birmingham 2022 - Day 9 Preview

We have now reached the final day of the lawn bowls event at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Scotland’s final medal hopes hinge on Iain McLean in the Men’s Singles.

Iain will look to follow in the footsteps of Willie Wood, Richard Corsie and Darren Burnett to become the fourth Scot ever to win the blue riband event. Standing in his way of this feat is defending Commonwealth champion, Aaron Wilson in today’s semi-final at 12noon.

If successful against the Australian, Iain will then face Northern Ireland’s Gary Kelly or Malaysia’s Fairul Izwan Abd Muin in the final at 4.30pm
