Mental Health Charter Action Plan

As part of Time to Talk Day 2025, we are pleased to share an updated version of our Mental Health Charter Action Plan.

Bowls Scotland launched our Mental Health Charter Action Plan last year after becoming the first Scottish Governing Body to complete SAMH’s route map for Mental Health and Wellbeing in the workplace. We have already seen a positive impact of this journey in both policy and practice, but there’s still lots to do in this space, ensuring that our people are supported, and their mental health and wellbeing continues to be our top priority.

Our staff are embracing the journey and participate regularly in lunchtime walks, coffee catch up sessions and volunteering days to aid their mental wellbeing. The ongoing partnership work and support from SAMH has been invaluable.

We would now encourage our member clubs to consider developing a Mental Health Charter Action Plan to better support their members and volunteers.
