Scotland Para Bowls Squad Set for Ireland Test Match
Bowls Scotland is looking forward to welcoming Ireland to the National Centre for Bowling in Ayr on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September for an exciting international Para Test Match.
The fixture provides a valuable opportunity for Scotland's para bowlers to compete against high-quality opposition, gain further international experience and continue their development on the international stage. It also highlights the continued growth and strength of para bowls within Scotland as the sport continues to create opportunities for athletes of all abilities to excel.
Speaking ahead of the match, Para Head Coach Amanda Easson said:
"We are looking forward to our upcoming test match with Ireland. This offers an excellent opportunity for our players to test themselves at a high level, gain further international experience and continue the growth of para bowls. We have a strong foundation within the team and competitive play like this helps us build on that experience while inspiring more people to get involved in the sport."
The Scotland squad brings together a blend of experienced international performers and developing players across both the Physical Disability (PD) and Visually Impaired (VI) classifications. The weekend will provide an important benchmark as players continue to develop their skills in a competitive international environment while strengthening team connections and gaining valuable match experience.
