Success for BIWBC Juniors

Scotland were runners-up in the BIWBC Junior Internationals at Victoria Park, Leamington Spa, at the weekend, and won both the singles and pairs championships.

Scotland beat Wales and Ireland 91-59 and 96-51 respectively on Saturday before being beaten 58-78 by England on Sunday to finish second overall.

On Sunday afternoon, Claire Walker and the team of Emma McIntyre and Megan Grantham represented Scotland in the singles and pairs championships.

After wins in the semi-finals, Walker beat Wales' Lauren Gowen 15-12, and McIntyre and Grantham beat England's Emma Cooper and Morgan Merryweather 19-4 to take the titles.

All the bowlers and their support team put in a great effort over the weekend.
