BBC Scotland visit National Championships

For the second time this week the 2019 Bowls Scotland National Championships have made national television news!

BBC Scotland visited the National Centre for Bowling, Ayr looking to showcase the main event on the Scottish bowls calendar and the diversity that bowls has to offer throughout communities.

They caught up with our CEO Alan McMillan, Women’s Junior & Senior Internationalist Carla Banks and the Bowls Scotland Gents President for 2019, John Halliday, to find out what it’s like to compete at the National finals and the organising that goes into the event.
