International Selectors appointed
Bowls Scotland is delighted to announce the appointment of seven international selectors to support the performance team throughout the 2025 season. Our selectors come with a vast array of experience from county to international involvement and will be pivotal in providing player insight, data and advice to our performance coaches and pathway leads as squads are selected for the 2025 performance programme.
- Ian Cameron – St Monans BC
- Iain Dorricott – Broughty BC
- Linda Fleming – Banton & Kelvinhead BC
- Eric McMillan – Cowdenbeath BC
- Andrew Morris – Kilsyth BC
- Jim Prunty – Airdrie Central BC
- Kim Watt – Polmuir BC
The selectors, coaches and pathway leads will be across the country over the next three weekends as our Podium Open events take centre stage ahead of the international selection process for Scotland’s Para, Women and Men’s teams.
The action will get underway at Balgay Bowling Club on Saturday 10th May with the Para Podium Open Pairs event being held for all players identifying as having a disability. On Sunday 11th and Sunday 25th May there will be 3-bowl and 2-bowl Podium Open Pairs events taking place at Balgownie Bowling Club, Cardonald Bowling Club, Grangemouth Bowling Club and Sighthill Bowling Club. Between those competitions will be the Podium Open Triples on Saturday 17th May, which is being held at Bainfield Bowling Club, Balgownie Bowling Club, Grangemouth Bowling Club and Ralston Bowling Club.
Hundreds of players have committed to competing in the assessment phase of the Drive to Success – Player Pathway. We look forward to seeing players shine in a highly competitive environment.
