Bowls Scotland is delighted to announce the team to represent Scotland at the upcoming Para Home Nations to be held at Newport Indoor Bowls Centre, Wales from Friday 21st – Sunday 23rd April.

Scotland will compete against England and Wales across six sessions of play over the weekend in a variety of test matches. The disciplines will feature visually impaired singles and pairs as well as physically disabled singles, pairs and triples.

The team selected features an experienced line up with six of Scotland’s eight Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games gold medallists included in the squad. Robert Barr, Sarah Jane Ewing, George Miller, Garry Brown, Rosemary Lenton and Pauline Wilson will be accompanied by several other experienced internationals in both the visually impaired and physically disabled categories. Two international debutants have also been included in the team with Stuart Stevens and Jim Aitken both making their first Scotland appearances.

Bowls Scotland’s Para Bowls Head Coach, Bob Christie, said: “I feel we have selected a strong group of players who are competing well and are certainly up for the challenge of bringing the trophy back to Scotland.
