Andrew Upton steps down from Board of Directors
Bowls Scotland can confirm that Andrew Upton has stepped down from his role as a General Board Director with immediate effect.
Andrew was one of the longest serving Bowls Scotland Directors, having carried out his role for the last seven years. A lawyer by trade, Andrew’s expertise and skills have been invaluable to upgrading the organisations policies and governance throughout his time on the Board.
Due to increased work and family commitments, Andrew has now unfortunately taken the difficult decision to step down from his role.
Paying tribute to Andrew’s professionalism over a number of years, Bowls Scotland Chair, Kim Walker, said: “Andrew’s contribution will be missed by our Board. His passion for the sport along with his professional expertise has influenced many of the decisions made by the Board.
"On behalf of the Board and everyone at Bowls Scotland I wish him the very best for the future.”
