GC 2018 Day Two

Day two of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games brought more good results for the Team Scotland lawn bowlers.

Caroline Brown claimed two wins in rounds three and four of the women’s singles, beating Lucy Beere of Guernsey 21-6 and Amaliah Matali of Brunei 21-12.

In rounds three and four of the men’s triples, Ronnie Duncan, Derek Oliver and Darren Burnett drew 17-17 with Malaysia and then beat Norfolk Island 20-11.

The women's fours of Lesley Doig, Stacey McDougall, Kay Moran and Claire Johnston beat Wales 22-10 in round three.

The men's pairs of Paul Foster and Alex Marshall beat India 17-12 in round three (they beat Samoa 37-6 in round two yesterday), and beat Norfolk Island 14-12 in round four.

In the B6/B7/B8 open triples, Garry Brown, Michael Simpson and Michael Nicoll beat Wales 27-4 in round two.

In the B2/B3 mixed pairs, Irene Edgar and Robert Barr, with directors David Thomas and Sarah-Jane Ewing, were beaten 13-7 by Wales in round two.
