Worthy winners on final day of the Nationals
The final day of the National Championships 2018 was nearly derailed by stormy weather, but all medals and trophies were collected by their worthy winners.
Play was delayed by heavy rain in the morning, but players braved the conditions to get their semi-finals completed before the finals took place in the afternoon, with the Junior Ladies' Singles final in the early evening due to dual participation.
Gents' Junior Singles final: Robert Lenza (Thornhill) beat Stephen Lowrie(Anchor) 21-5.
Junior Ladies’ Singles final: Rachel Sinclair (Kingswood) beat Dawn Anderson (Newton Park) 21- 20.
Gents' Singles final: Mark O'Hagan (Whitefield) beat Craig Adrain (Irvine Park) 21-15.
Ladies' Singles final: Laura Welsh (Baillieston) beat Dawn Anderson (Newton Park) 21-18.
Gents' Pairs final: Port Glasgow beat Prestwick 16-15.
Ladies' Pairs final: Glenmavis beat Cockenzie & Port Seton 19-11.
Gents' Triples final: Markinch beat Ayr Seafield 13-12.
Ladies' Triples final: Leven beat Cardross 15-8.
Gents' Fours final: Carrick Knowe beat Marchmount 19-8.
Ladies' Fours final: Newton Park BC beat Carron & Carronshore 19-7.
