2023 World Bowls Championships - Day Four Preview
Day four see’s the beginning of the knockout stages being contested at the 2023 World Bowls Championships.
Scotland are still in contention of winning five medals as our Para Women’s Pairs, Para Visually Impaired Mixed Pairs, Women’s Fours, Men’s Pairs and Men’s Triples teams look to reach their respective finals during today’s matches.
Depending on results, some Scottish teams could potentially feature on Bowls Australia’s Facebook live streams during session two and three. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled as the action unfolds throughout the day!

Session 1 – 11.30pm (BST):
- Quarter Final: Women’s Fours – Carla Banks, Claire Anderson, Stacey McDougall & Caroline Brown v Canada
- Quarter Final: Men’s Triples – Paul Foster MBE, Derek Oliver & Alex Marshall MBE v Thailand
Session 2 – 2.30am (BST):
- TBC - Semi Final: Women’s Fours – Carla Banks, Claire Anderson, Stacey McDougall & Caroline Brown v Australia or Hong Kong at 3am
- TBC - Semi Final: Men’s Triples – Paul Foster MBE, Derek Oliver & Alex Marshall MBE v England or Japan at 3am
- Quarter Final: Men’s Pairs – Jason Banks & Iain McLean v Australia
Session 3 – 5.45am (BST):
- Semi Final: Para Women’s Pairs – Rosemary Lenton & Pauline Wilson v Australia
- Semi Final: Para Visually Impaired Mixed Pairs - Melanie Inness (with Director, George Miller) & Robert Barr (with Director, Sarah Jane Ewing) v Australia
- TBC - Semi Final: Men’s Pairs – Jason Banks & Iain McLean v Wales or Malaysia at 6am
