Ricky Taylor - New Team Manager for Commonwealth Games 2018
Bowls Scotland are delighted with Commonwealth Games Scotland’s (CGS) appointment of Ricky Taylor as Lawn Bowls Team Manager for the 2018 Commonwealth Games being held in Australia’s Gold Coast next April.
This is a voluntary role which will see Ricky work extensively with CGS to ensure our mainstream squad and para squad are best placed within the multi-sport event. Ricky brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role having been Team Manager in Glasgow where Bowls secured 3 gold medals.
Speaking of the role, Taylor explained:

"I'm really looking forward to the challenges an over seas Games will bring and believe we will achieve the target of the most successful away Games."
Also delighted with the appointment of Ricky Taylor is current World Indoor Singles Champion and part of Team Scotland’s Bowls squad heading to Gold Coast, Paul Foster, who said:
“I am delighted that Ricky Taylor has been appointed as Team Manager for Lawn Bowls Commonwealth Games 2018. Ricky did a fantastic job leading up to and during the Glasgow Games in 2014. I know I speak for the entire squad when I say we are looking forward to working with Ricky again.”
