Scotland Team Selected for 2026 European Championships

Bowls Scotland is delighted to announce the team selected to represent Scotland at the 2026 Bowls Europe Championships, taking place at Llandrindod Wells Bowling Club, Wales, from 19-26 September 2026.

The European Championships provide an opportunity for Scotland's leading bowlers to compete against the best nations across Europe and continue Scotland's success on the international stage. Bringing together a talented mix of experienced internationals and emerging performers, the selected team of Dawn Anderson, Lewis Betts, Sarah Jane Ewing, Greg Logan, Leah McCloy, Claire McCurdie, Liam Nicholson, Gail Notman, Ewan Shearer and Gordon White will proudly represent Scotland on the European stage as they compete against the continent's leading nations.

The team reflects the strength and depth that exists within the performance squad and will travel to Wales with the aim of challenging for medals across the four championship disciplines in the men's and women's competitions.

Bowls Scotland’s Pathway Lead, Wendy Purdie, said: "Congratulations to everyone selected to represent the team at the European Championships.  The selections are a great reflection of the depth of talent across our Men & Women's squads. The team has a fantastic mix of experience and exciting developing players. It’s brilliant to see that combination coming through and highlights the strength and continued development of our performance programme"

We wish the team every success as they prepare for Llandrindod Wells 2026 and look forward to following their journey throughout the Championships.
