Wantaebowl triumph in 2024 Bowls Scotland Ladies National Top 10

Congratulations to Wantaebowl on winning the 2024 Bowls Scotland Ladies National Top 10 as they overcame Morayshire Ladies Association in the final.

Scottish internationalist Dawn Anderson chalked up Wantaebowl’s first victory as she saw off Lindsay Petrie 21-13 in the singles.

The pairs encounter went in favour of Morayshire Ladies Association with the experienced pairing of Leslie Coutts and Sandra Dean winning 17-10 against Josephine Williamson and Coleen Cowie.

Morayshire Ladies Association also claimed victory in the triples courtesy of Bronagh Gillies, Alison Gillies and Isobel Laing defeating Liz Hume, Heather Kay and Sharon Robertson 16-15.

With the match finely in the balance, it all came down to the fours contest. Wantaebowl’s team of Margaret Bingham, Elaine McKenzie, Claire McCurdie and Donna Clark managed to hold their nerve to get the better of Lindsay Smith, Alana Coutts, Sheenagh Bell and Jutta Hewett 20-14.
