Matthew Binnie, Michael McLean & James Dunnett win 2023 Ann Dennis Youth Scottish Cup Triples
Congratulations to Matthew Binnie, Michael McLean and James Dunnett from Queensferry Bowling Club, who won the 2023 Ann Dennis Youth Scottish Cup Triples yesterday at Auchterarder Bowling Club.
The West Lothian youngsters topped Section A and went on to beat Callum Smith, Duncan McIver and Matthew Cowan from Lockerbie Bowling Club in the semi-final. In the final, they put in an impressive display and managed to get the better of Jamie-Lee Lane, Shayne Watt and Ross Dalgarno from Keith Bowling Club.
Thanks to all 21 teams that took part in the event, Bowls Scotland Ladies President Marella O’Neill for presenting the prizes and also Auchterarder BC for their great hospitality once again. We now look forward to the Youth National Championships taking place on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th July at the National Centre for Bowling, Ayr.
