Club Networking Events

We are hosting six Club Networking Events across the country from January to March and are delighted to have Scottish ClubSport join us at networking events at Whiteinch IBC, Aberdeen IBC, Inverness IBC and Ardrossan IBC.

Scottish ClubSport undertakes the commitment to develop a national and local structure relevant to the sporting landscape of today, engaging local knowledge and empowering club sport networks to work together in partnership.

These Club Networking Sessions are free to attend for everyone and will be split into two sections for the Networking session and the Safeguarding drop-in session.

The Networking Sessions will run twice from 12.15pm-2pm then 2.15pm-4pm

Aimed at encouraging clubs to share ideas as well as gaining more information on the services and resources available to them. There will be presentations and practical sessions from the Bowls Scotland Development Team on club matters including Try Bowls and BowlsMark.

The Safeguarding Drop-In Sessions will run from 12noon-4pm

These sessions are aimed at supporting clubs with the new legislation for Safeguarding that comes into effect in 2020 meaning anyone working/volunteering with Under 18’s and vulnerable adults will require by law to be a member of the PVG scheme.  Bowls Scotland staff will be on hand at these drop-in sessions to help clubs join the PVG scheme and become safeguarding complaint.

In order for us to help you complete a PVG application form please bring along with you 3 forms of identification one of which should be photographic (driving licence or passport) and the other should have home address details (bank statement, utility bill etc).
