2026 National Championships – Player Information and Programmes

Congratulations to everyone who has qualified for the 2026 National Championships! 

We will once again be producing an official Championship Programme this year and would like to ensure that all player details are accurate.

Substitution Eligibility – Second Stage (National Finals)

Only one substitute is permitted in all competitions.

In the Singles, Under 25 Singles, Over 55 Singles and Para Singles, no substitute may be introduced after the first round.

A substitute may be:

• A player who entered the same group of competitions but was not knocked out; or

• A player who did not compete in any competition within the same group.

All substitutions must be approved by the District Co-ordinator and notified by email to events@bowlsscotland.com at least seven days before the first day of the National Championships.

In the event of a death or illness occurring within the seven-day period before the Championships, an email should still be sent to events@bowlsscotland.com. Any substitute must continue to meet all other eligibility criteria.
