U25 Pairs Titles Decided at Weekend Competitions

The 2026 Andy Meekison U25 Gents Pairs and Linda Brennan U25 Ladies Pairs took place on Saturday 4th July, with another excellent day of competition across both venues.

At the National Centre for Bowling in Ayr, the Andy Meekison U25 Gents Pairs saw Kieran Dodds and Robbie Shields of East Lothian Coop crowned champions. The pair came through the knockout stages with an 13-3 semi-final victory, before defeating Corey Cadger and Kyle Dalrymple 12-9 in the final.

Meanwhile, the Linda Brennan U25 Ladies Pairs took place at Grangemouth Bowling Club, where players and supporters were also joined by the King’s Baton Relay as part of the build-up to the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

On the green, Leah McCloy of Cardonald Bowling Club and Lauren Roddie of Stonehaven Bowling Club claimed the title after an impressive 15-2 victory in the final against Michaela Stirling and Aimee Harris. The eventual champions had earlier edged through a tight semi-final, defeating Jessica Earl and Meghan Wallace 8-7.
