Para Home Nations: Day 1 Session Three Results

Today’s final session of play saw Scotland’s physically disabled pairings clinch two out of three victories. This rounded off a successful first day for the Scots as they won eight of their respective 13 matches across the three sessions.

Mary Wilson and Gary Brown found themselves trailing 7-10 after 11 ends but managed to score on all four of their remaining ends to come out on top with a 12-10 win over England. Garry Hood and Kevin Wallace lost a three on their first end but then stormed into a commanding 14-3 lead after 9 ends, finishing up with a 22-7 victory against Wales. Rosemary Lenton and Pauline Wilson found their game against England’s Steve Ireland and Kieran Rollings extremely challenging and came up short with a 3-31 defeat.

Tomorrow sees another three sessions of play being contested between Scotland, England and Wales at the National Centre for Bowling, Ayr. Scotland will be looking to build on their promising start to this Home Nations event. Reports and scores of tomorrow’s matches will again be available on our website and social media pages.
