Sporting Memories attend Development Day

We are delighted to welcome along Sporting Memories to our Development Day today at the National Championships.

Sporting Memories are a charity dedicated to the development and use of sports reminiscence, inclusive physical activities and intergenerational activities to support isolated older people across the country.

They have set up the “Get Outdoors” Project which involves working with bowling clubs to help make them dementia-friendly and to encourage people living with dementia and their carers to either reconnect with a sport they once loved or to encourage others to try outdoor bowls for the first time.

Pictured below are the group from Sporting Memories along with our National Development Manager, Duncan Caithness, and our High Performance Coach, David Gourlay MBE.
