Whitehall Invitational Pairs
Whitehall Bowling Club held a very successful pairs tournament this weekend with some fantastic games being played and some tremendous hospitality from Derek Freeland and all his club members.
64 Gents and 64 Ladies pairs started the qualification process with 6 international teams all battling it out to claim their spot in the final.�
Ladies
In the Ladies event Section A High Performance Squad Members and last years winners �Becky Craig and Claire Johnston came out on top. In Section B, Anne Davidson and Karen Taylor came out winners with Gail Simpson and Anne Gauld triumphed in Section C. The highest runner up pairing was Lesley Doig and Lorna smith.
Semi- Final Results:�
B Craig and C Johnston Bt. L Smith and L Doig 9- 7
A Davidson and K Taylor Bt G Simpson and A Gauld 11- 10 after an extra end
Final:
B craig and C Johnston retained their title by beating the Aberdeen duo of A Davidson and K Taylor

Section A saw young guns Jason banks and John Fleming Jnr come out as winners with Commonwealth Games Gold Medallists�Paul foster MBE �and Alex Marshall MBE championing Section B.�
Section C winners were Kenny Dalglish and Mark Campbell with highest runners up being Neil Warren and Stuart Cruikshank.

Final:
Paul Foster MBE and Alex Marshall MBE won 17-4 �beating the North East duo in a one sided final!�
