Four Nations Medal Day Preview

The Four Nations concludes today at Glasgow Indoor Bowling Club, with Scotland set to compete in seven medal matches across the final day of action.

Following three days of round-robin fixtures against Ireland, Malaysia and Australia, Scotland will be represented in three gold medal matches and four bronze medal matches.

Scotland will compete for gold in the men’s singles, para women’s pairs and VI mixed pairs.

Jason Banks will face Ireland’s Gary Kelly in the men’s singles gold medal match, while Pauline Wilson and Mary Wilson take on Australia’s Hoskins and Bonnell in the para women’s pairs gold medal match. In the VI mixed pairs, Mary Stevenson and Robert Barr will face Australia’s Hudson and Fehlberg.

There will also be bronze medal matches for Caroline Brown in the women’s singles against Malaysia’s Emma Firyana Bt Saroji, Paul Foster MBE and Alex Marshall MBE in the men’s pairs against Australia, Beth Riva and Caroline Brown in the women’s pairs against Ireland’s Wilson and O’Neill, and Gary Brown and Stuart Sloan in the para men’s pairs against Ireland’s Evans and Smyth.

Play gets underway from 9:00am, with medal matches scheduled throughout the day.

Spectators can attend in person, with tickets available on the door for just £2. Supporters can also follow the action online, with Wrong Bias Bowls Podcast providing live streaming coverage across the event.
