2023 British Isles Championships Results

There were mixed emotions for Scotland’s players during the final day of the 2023 British Isles Championships, as Scotland won two of the four finals they contested.

Danny Stevenson delivered a standout performance in the Men’s U25 Singles final to battle back from 1-7 down to eventually win 21-8 against Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games gold medallist, Adam McKeown from Ireland.

In the Women’s U25 Pairs, Amy and Emma Blyth endured an extremely close final against Ireland’s Amy Carruth and Sophie McIntyre. Some big bowls at the right time from both sisters in the final few ends of the match was enough to get them over the winning line.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be a hat-trick of wins for Scotland this morning as Natalie McWilliams narrowly missed out 18-21 to Wales’ Emma Gittins in the Women’s Singles final. Jamie Noon also fought hard in the Men’s U18 Singles this afternoon but eventually just came up short, losing 16-21 to Charlie Beeton from England.

Congratulations to all five players on a brilliant tournament!
