A mixed set of results in Day 2 of Stage 2 in the World Championships. The Ladies Pairs maintained their 100% record winning six out of six matches! A fantastic start for Lauren Baillie and Lesley Doig who are on top form. They will be hoping to continue their winning streak in Day 3 but they have three challenging matches tomorrow against Wales, who are also unbeaten, Norfolk Islands and Malaysia.
The Gents Fours have the section win in their sights and they will need to secure wins in all three of their remaining matches to do this. Darren Burnett is in a similar situation in the Gents Singles with matches against Namibia, India and Guernsey ahead of him.
The Ladies Pairs will qualify through to the second stage with one win but they will be looking to win all three matches to guarantee a place in the semi-final and a bronze medal to accompany that.
Ladies Triples (Julie Forrest, Stacey McDougall and Claire Johnston) have had a tough few matches and must win their remaining three matches to have a chance of qualifying for the second stage of the World Championships.
Day 3 will kick off this evening in New Zealand as Team Scotland give it their best in a bid to stake their claim on the medal podium!
