Scotland Teams Announced for 2026 British Bowls
Bowls Scotland is delighted to announce the Scotland teams selected for the 2026 British Bowls events, taking place at the National Centre for Bowling in Ayr from Tuesday 23 June to Sunday 28 June.
The event will bring together representatives from Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales and Jersey across a packed week of action, including the British Bowls Championships, Para British Bowls Internationals and British Bowls Internationals.
This year’s event marks a significant moment for the sport, with championships, para, men’s and women’s competitions all coming together as part of one integrated British Bowls event.
Speaking on the team selection, Bowls Scotland’s Head of High Performance Bowls, Kareena Cuthbert, said:
“We are absolutely delighted to be hosting the first British Bowls event that fully integrates championships, para, men’s and women’s competitions. It’s a significant moment for our sport and a true reflection of its inclusivity.
“With our Commonwealth Games athletes not participating in this year’s event, it has opened the door for some exciting new talent to step onto the international stage and make their debuts. Across all teams, there is a real depth of experience combined with the energy of emerging young players.
“These athletes have been performing exceptionally well at the start of this season and it’s incredibly exciting to see the strength and future of our sport showcased in this way.”
The schedule of play for the duration of the event can be found HERE.
