With the Commonwealth Games coming to Glasgow in 2026, this is a golden opportunity for clubs across the country to open their doors and welcome local communities to experience our wonderful sport.

What’s happening?

• Over four days, affiliated clubs can host Try Bowls events that best suit your calendars and facilities.
• Clubs will have the chance to register your Try Bowls events with Bowls Scotland and benefit from our national media campaign to reach wider audiences.

Why get involved?

• Showcase your club and attract new members.
• Try Bowls events can still be organised at any time throughout the season. Adding an additional event or moving your event to National Try Bowls Weekend will maximise promotion of your event and allow your club to be part of a nationwide celebration of bowls during a landmark year for Scottish sport.
