Marshall shortlisted for Team Scotland award

Alex Marshall MBE has been shortlisted for male athlete of the year at the Team Scotland Awards.

Scotland's most successful Commonwealth Games athlete is joined on the shortlist by swimmer Duncan Scott, cyclist Mark Stewart and middle distance runner Jake Wightman.

Marshall had a wonderful Commonwealth Games at the Gold Coast in April, winning silver in the pairs with Paul Foster MBE and claiming his record-breaking fifth gold in the fours with Foster (a fourth gold for him to make him second on the all-time greats list), Derek Oliver and Ronnie Duncan.  

The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 13th September in Edinburgh. Read more from Team Scotland.
