Child Protection

Bowls Scotland is fully committed to ensuring that all participants, parents, coaches and officials have only positive experiences when participating in the sport.

Bowls Scotland, has adopted the Policy and Procedures for the Protection of Children and Vulnerable adults in Bowls, copies of which can be downloaded below.

Wellbeing

Wellbeing is broader than child protection and how we tend to think about welfare.
To help make sure everyone – children, young people, parents, and the services that support them – has a common understanding of what wellbeing means, we describe it in terms of eight indicators.
The eight wellbeing indicators are commonly referred to by their initial letters - SHANARRI

Sometimes we see or hear something that makes us a bit uneasy and we’re not sure what to do about it. Do we keep quiet and hope someone else will complain or do we tell the people who have the experience to investigate?
