Abbie and Aimee Harris win 2024 Linda Brennan Ladies U25 Pairs
Congratulations to Abbie and Aimee Harris on winning the 2024 Linda Brennan Ladies U25 Pairs.
The sister pairing overcame Kara Lees and Beth Riva 7-6 in a high quality final.
Abbie and Aimee got the better of the opening exchanges and held a 5-2 lead after three ends. The next three ends were then shared as two shots apiece to each pair to give Abbie and Aimee a three shot advantage going into the last end.
Using their international experience, Abbie and Aimee managed to only concede two shots at the last end to be crowned champions.
Commiserations to Kara and Beth, who finished top of Group E to qualify for the knockout stages and performed well throughout the day.
Abbie and Aimee Harris will now represent Scotland at the 2024 British Isles Championships at Royal Leamington Spa Bowling Club, England on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th June. Best of luck to both players when the event comes round.
