Vacancy: Marketing & Communications Officer
Bowls Scotland is the national governing body of lawn bowls in Scotland.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Marketing and Communications Officer. This post has been created as part of the implementation of the Bowls Scotland strategic plan, and will have responsibility for overseeing the marketing and communications for all of Bowls Scotland's activity.
With 861 clubs across Scotland, three gold medals at Glasgow 2014 and just over a year until the start of the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia, lawn bowls is one of the largest and most successful Scottish sports. This position will play a crucial role in developing our key messages to support the recruitment of new members in clubs as well as catering for the existing 63,000 playing members within their clubs Scotland wide.
The position will be able to steer the direction for our successful social media platforms, must be able to work evenings and from time to time weekends, as well as link with volunteers, colleagues and the Scottish media to promote the positive messages and work being undertaken by Bowls Scotland.
