District Youth Co-Ordinator recruitment

We are pleased to confirm that the Scottish Young Bowlers Association (SYBA) will be merging with Bowls Scotland in 2022.

The SYBA were founded in 1982 and have been responsible for overseeing the development of thousands of players, male and female, under the age of 17 throughout Scotland. One of Bowls Scotland’s key priorities is to encourage young people into our sport and streamline the game in Scotland to create one pathway for future generations to develop from club bowlers to world class players.

To ensure this merge is completed effectively, we are pleased to launch our recruitment process to find 32 District Youth Co-Ordinators, one for every Bowls Scotland District throughout the country. This will be in addition to the existing District Co-Ordinator structure we already have in place. The previous SYBA ‘District Convenor’ roles will be replaced with the new District Youth Co-Ordinators.

For more information on the role of a District Youth Co-Ordinator, please find a Role Descriptor here. To apply, please complete our short application form here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/LT96MPQ.

The closing date for applications is Friday 1st October at 12noon. After this date we will review all applications and interview the highest quality candidates in each District and from there will look to select a final successful candidate.
