Logan Dibben, Ross Dalgarno & Jamie Lane win Youth Scottish Cup
Congratulations to the District 2 team of Logan Dibben (Turriff BC), Ross Dalgarno (Keith BC) and Jamie Lane (Rosehearty BC), who won the inaugural Bowls Scotland Youth Scottish Cup triples today at Perth Bowling Club.
The District 2 team managed to remain unbeaten in the group stages winning all four of their matches. In the final, they took on District 5’s Hayden Stirling, Alicia Tait and Jamie Low in a thrilling encounter. After the 40-minute time limit was up the game was tied at five shots each and a tense extra end took place with Logan, Ross and Jamie eventually prevailing as the winners.
Thanks to all 11 teams for competing in today’s first ever Bowls Scotland youth event. We now look forward to hosting the Youth National Championships on Sunday 24th July at the National Centre for Bowling, Ayr.
