Drive to Success: Player Pathway - Expression of Interest

Now that we have released our 2024 Calendar of Events and Drive to Success – Podium Pathway, we are pleased to launch our open Expression of Interest form for all bowlers throughout Scotland.

With our new performance vision comes a new process for our talented players to identify themselves to Bowls Scotland. In replacement of the previous application form and trial, the expression of interest form collates personal details, affiliated club and identifies required standards involved in participating for Scotland that must be complied with.

All bowlers wishing to be considered for the Senior, U25, U18 and Para Scotland international teams in 2024 MUST complete an expression of interest before Friday 15th December by 5pm.

Once forms have been completed the player information gathered will enable competitive and assessment opportunities to be catered for across the country to ensure an accessible performance environment for all. 

Those who have completed a form will be given early access to Podium Open competitions. These competitions will cover all disciplines played on the world stage (singles, pairs, triples & fours) and players can stand out as Scotland’s best in a highly competitive environment. Ranking points can be claimed at these competitions, coaches and selectors will be observing and the top 4 of each event will be automatically invited to a national squad assessment day. A selection point for Senior, U25, U18 and Para squads will take place after the assessment days.
