Funding for Clubs

As the financial impact of COVID-19 continues to have an effect on our sport, we wanted to provide our clubs with some additional tools to help with financial management and stability.

Our friends at Club Development Scotland have produced a webinar for bowling clubs all about funding for your club. Watch the full video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kA-NrSVnczE

Foundation Scotland will be administering the ‘Delivering better futures’ fund in Scotland on behalf of Made By Sport, awarding unrestricted grants of £2,021 to clubs who match the criteria. The fund is looking for applications from clubs and community organisations using sport to improve young people’s lives through one or more of the following means:

  • Developing life skills
  • Building strong communities
  • Improving mental health
  • Developing employability skills reducing crime and anti-social behaviour

Key to the fund is that it supports clubs and organisations intentionally using community sport provision to deliver wider social outcomes, not those focusing on developing and widening opportunities to participate. Last year we provided two rounds of Club Crisis Fund support to our clubs. We will offer this again to ensure clubs most in need get additional support to help stabilise and manage cash flows over this difficult period. We will launch the third cohort of the Club Crisis Fund on 10th May, more details will be published nearer the time.

In the meantime, if you require any additional support please contact your National Development Officer:
