Test-Match v Australia Team Announcement

Bowls Scotland are delighted to announce that a test-match against the Australian Jackaroo’s has been arranged to be played at Royal Leamington Spa between Friday 12th July – Sunday 14th July.

The Australian team features experienced Commonwealth Games gold medalists and world champions such as Karen Murphy and Aaron Wilson, along with some up and coming players like Aaron Teys and Chloe Stewart.

Scotland have selected a youthful team for the event with the country’s rising stars getting a chance to test themselves against some of the world’s best players.

There will also be a team of para-bowlers involved in the test series, however, the team is yet to be announced.

High Performance Coach, David Gourlay MBE, said: “This test-match against Australia forms another important part of our player and competition pathway. The team selected for the event is full of our top up and coming players and it will be a great experience for them to play against some of the best players in the world. I’m delighted that para-bowls will also be competing in the test series and this is a great opportunity for everyone involved to compete on the greens that will host the 2022 Commonwealth Games.”
