TOURNAMENT LICENSES INFORMATION

Tournament licenses can now be purchased throughout the season:
- All open/invitation tournaments held in Scotland must be licensed by Bowls Scotland.
- An open tournament is any tournament open to members out with your club.
- Notices advertising open events should clearly indicate that the event is “licensed by Bowls Scotland”.
- Tournament licences are open all season and must be purchased seven days prior to the event.
- Certificates will be emailed and also made available to view/download from the online club and membership system. Please note that Tournament License certificates will be emailed with the exception of those that have not provided an email address and not provided all information.
- Name of competition, date, and prize money must be provided.
A licence fee is payable for each open/invitation tournament based on the total competition prize money. The fees for 2023 are:

By purchasing a Tournament Licence, you are entitled to the following benefits:
- Open competitions can be listed on the Bowls Scotland website
- Competition can be promoted and advertised on the Bowls Scotland social media channels
- Each open/invitation competition will receive an official licence certificate
