Club Support Update
Our COVID-19 Club Survey closed last Thursday with an outstanding response rate. Thank you to the 617 clubs who took the time to respond, we really appreciate it, this is an incredible 73% return rate. The data is currently being analysed and we will share the findings in the next few weeks. If your club indicated they were at immediate risk of closing, our National Development Officers Lawra, Daniel and Stuart will have been in touch with you.
As a governing body, we have been asked to be part of several other national sports surveys to better inform the support required. We also continue to liaise with the relevant partners and organisations to ensure our wonderful game can return as soon as possible with all the relevant support, guidance and safeguards in place.
To ensure we are gathering our members thoughts and opinions on this, we have invited all District Secretaries to attend online forums next week with a focus on creating guidance for clubs in preparation for an ease in restrictions from the Scottish Government. District Secretaries will be contacting clubs to gather views so please take this opportunity to help shape guidance on preparing for play, during play and after play throughout this unprecedented time.
Another reminder to clubs that we have created a one-page Business Support Grant update to help clarify and inform our clubs to ensure as many of our eligible clubs can access the funding available. In addition, we have listed all the Business Support Grant links for the 32 local authorities across Scotland.
