Toughest opponent at Northfield:

Stacey McDougall. It was tough playing against Stacey because not only is she such a great player but also a good friend

Funniest Moment (on or off the green):

I was playing a tie on my own green and I thought it would be a good idea to step onto the green from the banking rather than using the steps but I got my foot caught in the strap of my bowling bag and took a massive tumble onto the green

How does it feel to win a National Championship:

It really is a great feeling winning a National Championship but each time I have won one it has felt great for a different reason. When I first won the Junior Singles in 2008, I was 16 years old and it was the first time I had ever qualified to Ayr so obviously I didn't have high expectations but to go on and win it was such a huge surprise. I won the Junior Singles again in 2011 and this was also a special one because it was nice to be able to say that I had won it twice. In 2015 I managed to win the Junior Singles again for a third time which I think was the most memorable because I was almost 8 and a half months pregnant at the time, so it was definitely my most physically challenging championship

Advice to upcoming bowlers:

Don't put too much pressure on yourself. I used to be so tough on myself if I didn't play well enough but now, I have a far more relaxed attitude and definitely enjoy the game more

Future aspirations in Bowls:

I would love to represent Scotland at another Commonwealth Games because it really was one of the best experiences I have ever had
